Social media is one of the most important things that we as humans are concerned with in 2020. It is not difficult to keep up-to-date with current changes around us via our laptop, mobile phone, Ipad and other devices. Of course, using social media is also a very handy and commonly used strategy to sell your merchandise. But which social media platform is actually the best to use for your promotion? In this blog we help you decide which platform; this is where we will go through every important point.
Instagram's Algorithm
Both Instagram and Facebook are constantly changing their original chronological structure. They now use algorithms to determine what posts and photos will be at the top of your timeline. These algorithms change all the time and are tested as much as possible, but for now we have described the most recent experiences for both platforms.
Let’s start with Instagram. There is one thing you should remember which is that Instagram's main goal is to maximize the time users spend on the platform. The more time they spend on it, the more ads they see. For now it is mostly known that posts that have a lot of likes, comments, saves and shares are one of the posts that will be at the top of your timeline. Instagram also looks at the connections you have with other users.
For example, is there a user whose profile you regularly view and likes all the photos they post? Then you can be sure that Instagram ensures that those messages are shown to you first, and thus end up at the top.
Furthermore, the time at which something is posted is partly taken into account. The most recent messages will appear earlier than messages posted days ago. However, it should be mentioned that chronology hasn't been completely disregarded by Instagram, it's just been bumped down the line a bit.
