As a merchandising platform we believe that everyone can use their influence in his or her own way. Influencers and celebrities these days have a wide reach and we trust that they use their influence in a positive way to make the community a better place for everyone. We want to help them with this by entering into a partnership with non-profit organizations so that meaningful merchandise can contribute to charities. This blog is in the interest of these non-profit organizations and we would like to take this opportunity to put them in the spotlight.

Teach for Malaysia is a non-profit organization with a mission to empower all children in Malaysia to receive an excellent education. The organization started in 2010 and has since placed more than 50 thousand children. The reason the organization started is that thousands of children have no opportunity to go to school for certain reasons. This could be because of where the children live or how much money their parents earn. Teach For Malaysia pursues its mission with the question: "what if the cure for cancer is in the mind of one of these students?". Without the opportunity for a good education, this would not be known. 

Orphancare is the second partner of Yeefu and is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving children living in institutions and unplanned born babies whose lives are in danger the opportunity to grow up in a loving family. They also give pregnant women the opportunity to ask for and receive help if they are afraid and do not know what to do with their baby. The organization pursues its mission with the belief 'to give children their lives back'. Currently, there are an estimated 64,000 children in Malaysia who live in institutions because they are poor, disabled, mentally challenged, or for other medical reasons. Many of these children are left behind by their parents and therefore end up in these institutions. Orphancare is implementing a process called 'deinstitutionalization' to help children have a family, good education, health care, and safety and protection.

As an outsider you not only have the opportunity to donate money but you can also join their team and become a volunteer. As a volunteer, you donate your time and you are part of various activities of the organization. Of course, there is also the option to only donate and this can be in the form of a monthly amount or one-off. 

Our third and final partner is EPIC homes and this organization is committed to improving the relationship between the urban and the rural divide by building homes for the underprivileged communities in Malaysia. At the moment their focus is on the indigenous people of Peninsular, the Orang Asli.

The organization believes that the problem can be solved by building new houses because they work together to find new solutions. In this way, new communities are created and ties and relationships are strengthened. The organization pursues its mission with the belief that the presence of a relationship actually makes the difference between a 'home' and a 'house'. For example, if a family can move into a new EPIC house, they not only have a new house but are also connected to a larger community that cares about them; a community that understands their challenges and helps to come up with solutions.

You can not only donate to the organization and in this way, help build new houses, but you can also volunteer. As a volunteer, you help with building houses, training other volunteers, coordinating events, and much more. In addition to donating a monthly or one-time amount, you can also go a step further and set up a fundraising campaign to do your bit.
